Over a year ago the San José Shamrock Run 5K & 10K became one of the first running events in California to cancel due to the COVID pandemic. But, it didn’t stop us. We continued to support all of you with new virtual experiences as well as content and you supported us back. Thank you ❤️

? This week the Run Local community is putting on their best St. Patrick’s Day green, finding their own start lines, crushing their #SJSHAMROCKRUN, and celebrating!

Over the weekend, one of the Bay Area’s specialty run retailers, A Runner’s Mind (ARM) in Burlingame, was broken into for a second time. That sucks. Big Time.

Specialty run retailers are often called the lifeblood of the running industry because they are so much more than just a place where you go to buy shoes. They support local events, groups and so much more.

Run Local had the pleasure of catching up with three-time U.S. 5k Champion, writer, entrepreneur and activist Lauren Fleshman. She is currently coaching a women’s pro group for Oiselle called Littlewing Athletics, pushing the pace on nutrition with Picky Bars and stirring the pot whenever she encounters inequality.

Today on Run Local Wednesday we’re thrilled to welcome Salomon to the Run Local Bay Area family. Together the partnership will deliver unique pop-up runner experiences to showcase the Salomon brand’s road and trail products to runners in the Bay Area who are increasingly itching to get outside together as it becomes safer to do so.
