Santa Barbara Half Marathon Welcomes HOKA as Presenting Sponsor

Goleta based footwear brand also title sponsor of the HOKA Kids’ Run, while elevating participant experience leading up to race weekend; Friday, November 4 to Sunday, November 6 event supports local youth running programs through the Santa Barbara Running Association

Santa Barbara, Calif. (August 16, 2022) – The Santa Barbara Half Marathon and SB Independent 5K welcomes HOKA, the globally recognized and locally based performance footwear and apparel brand, as presenting sponsor, inspiring humans from around the country and world to fly this fall on the American Riviera. The Sunday, November 6 race supports youth running programs through its partnership with the Santa Barbara Running Association.

In the lead-up to the Santa Barbara Half, opportunities will be made available to partners and participants alike to experience Santa Barbara with unique community events. In addition, the event will help prepare its participants for race day with exclusive contests to win HOKA shoes as well as other prizes. Finally, on race weekend, an expanded Funk Zone Finish Line Festival will provide the community with live music, unique vendor activations and kid friendly activities.

Event weekend will kick off on Friday, November 4 and continue on Saturday, November 5 with participant Packet Pickup in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone, welcoming participants to the city’s hottest neighborhood with food and drink specials at a variety of establishments. Then on Sunday morning, November 6 the main event features a Half Marathon (13.1 miles), 5K (3.1 miles) and the free Kid’s Run. With a course as beautiful as its location, participants will begin along the waterfront, before turning inland on a journey through Santa Barbara’s historic downtown and a one-of-a-kind finish on the State Street Promenade.
