Soul Focus Sports’ five-event running series will kickoff 2020 on Sunday, February 2nd at the 9th San Jose 408K Race to the Row brought to you by Amazon
San Francisco, Calif. (Nov. 13, 2019) – Soul Focus Sports, Northern California’s premier locally owned and operated event production company, today announced that its San Francisco Bay Area run series (formerly titled Represent Running®) will now operate under the Run Local™ Bay Area name. The moniker will improve cohesiveness across the series of five individually unique signature events while allowing for the implementation of a strategic growth plan.
“Run Local has been our core principle and trademark, literally, since I founded our first event in 2012. The desire to connect and inspire the local community with our charity partners, local artists and runners is stronger than ever. Re-launching under our trademarked Run Local™ brand will solidify our future and ensure we continue to display the spirit and inspiration we’ve brought to our events since the beginning,” commented JT Service, Soul Focus Sports CEO.
Events under the Run Loca Bay Area umbrella include the original San Jose 408k Race to the Row brought to you by Amazon (now in its 9th year), the rapidly growing San Jose Shamrock Run, the Silicon Valley Half co-owned with Meb Keflezighi, the Across The Bay 12K and 415K that runs across the Golden Gate Bridge, and The East Bay 510K. Each event was built to be uniquely local, and each derives further significance from being united around the singular Run Loca mission of inspiring people to move.
In addition to the five events, participants can earn additional bragging rights as well bonus medals by completing one of three challenges–the San Jose based Amazon Valley Challenge, the Run the Bay Challenge and the Run Local Series Star Challenge. Groups and companies are also invited to participate in Run Local programs providing discounts and additional experiences at each of its five events.
“As we continue to grow beyond Northern California and further our global mission of encouraging people to move,” stated Service, “it’s also important that we unify our trademarked brand Run Local® that applies all athletic apparel with our newly secured Run Local mark in the class of sporting events – one name, one mission.”
All events will re-launch as part of the Run Local Bay Area brand starting November 12th, 2019. The Series’ new website is www.runlocalevents.com.
