Run Local Pod Episode 20: Simon Freeman

Simon Freeman is a former pub loving, cigarette smoking London lad that changed his life through the sport of running. While the athlete journey took him to a 2:30’something marathon p.b., the real story is told through the stories he now tells.

Simon and his wife Julie are the co-founders of Like the Wind magazine. This publication is running rag like no other. Bespoke art, printed on matte paper, stories of the spirit of running, and never thrown away.

Simon joins Josh and J.T. on the Run Local podcast to share his journey, entertains everyone with a recount of an infamous interview with Lance Armstrong, and regales the audience with an overflowing goblet of British humour. That’s humour with a U. And U… will love it.

About Run Local Pod

The Run Local Pod is a production of Soul Focus Sports and is hosted by founder & CEO, J.T. Service as well as the voice of Run Local Events, Josh Muxen.

We invite guests across the spectrum of society, including elite athletes, entrepreneurs, local legends and beyond. We like to use the sport of running to learn more about these individuals, their local community and what they’re doing to change the world. Frankly, we believe in the power movement and doing the doable at a local level.
